Lately, I've been looking at men differently... what are they wearing? Well, as you guessed, a lot of black shoes, and black shoes... there is an idea out there that black goes with everything... It doesn't. I'll occasionally wear black... sometimes even black shoes... but not every day, and certainly not with every outfit. Also, people forget your feet are probably the hardest working part of your body, so why stick it in the same stinky shoe day in and day out? Why not try doing something a little different in the shoe department?

Mick Jagger's piece of sartorial advice for men is never wear colorful shoes. I have a pair of "pungent purple" H Street Pumas that Mick may not get satisfaction from, but I really like. Unfortunately I think most men agree with Mick, at least in the US.
mick jagger? oh dear... well, years ago, someone asked me why i wore 'crazy skirts and shoes' and the answer is that, most people look at your face first... the top is where you make your impression, but as they look down and see a playful twist on an outfit, like colorful pair of shoes, it gives the impression that there's more to you than beats the eye.
the element of surprise is probably the best style trick.... and the best personality trick. i always love it when someone says... 'you think you know jennine, then she does this...'
